4 ELEMENTS OF HIP HOP

I got to tell you the facts about the hip hop culture, It is something we live, for short eat, dress, talk, walk, learn, earn is hip hop. It is not a trend as some think. It is a way of life, it is a mindstate, hip hop culture is about peace,love and unity, it is not about bitches, bling and bricks.
It is not about cars,clothes and cribs. Let me break down the 4 elements of hip hop for you.

1. Rapping: Rappers such as Sugar Hill Gang, Furious Five made hits in the beginning of the
hip hop culture. They are the pioneers. Also rappers such as Afrika Bambatta

2. DJing : spinnig records so that the rapper can drop his lyrics over the beats.
DJs such as Kool Herc , Grand Master Flash and DJ Red Alert were the first ones
to do this.
3. Breaking : Dancing to the beats of the DJ and the Rapper . The legendary Rock Steady Crew
is world wide known for this element.

4. Graffiti : airosol art, the urban youth would express their creativity on trains and walls.

You see these 4 things are the elements of the hip hop culture. If you are a rap listener and you dont't know what the the true purpose of the hip hop culure is. You are told that rap music is all about guns, drugs and sex. You got the wrong idea. I speak for the underground minority of the B-boys, who are keeping the community authenic with preservation of the culture. I suggest you go and listen to old school rappers such as Rakim, Krs-One, Big Daddy Kane.
Or the new rappers such as Atmosphere, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Planet Asia, Peanutt Butter Wolf.
