IT IS BEEN A LONG TIME

It is been a long time like Rakim said, that I wrote rhymes. Couple of years ago I used to write daily. I wrote few freestyles on this blog to find out if I still got it. I asked a friend of mine to check it out. He was like I can not give a opinion by reading your rhymes, you got to drop it. Now he is actually asking me to rap again. It is been almost 3 years ago that I dropped some lyrics.
So long I live with my parents I don't think I am not putting any time into rapping.

But I freestyle alot, when I am biking toward my work. Then nobody can hear me.
I can not write about a certain topic. I am a brag an boaster, freestyle lyricist,

I started rapping in 1995. I have not picked up a microphone since 1999. I think I will write some lyrics on my blog, this is alot of fun for me to do. I have been performing once as the support act of the famous Dutch hip hop band called Osdorp Posse. At that time I was not surrounded by the right type of people to get me to a better level. I also did not had the right state of mind to propel in the rap game.

NOREALITY

This is some great news for the hip hop fans who loves music of N.O.R.E. I have been a huge fan of N.O.R.E ever since the CNN dropped their first album. They put Q.B on the map with War Report. I enjoyed the beats and all the versatile lyrics with the cocky edge. The features on the N.O.R.E's first album was all tight rappers such as Cam'ron, Jadakiss,Big pun spit the hot lyrics.

I have been waiting on his next album. I thougt that the album called God's favourite will be dope as the N.O.R.E's first album. The lyrics were dope, but the beats were not what I expected.

I think the upcoming album going to be a sraight banger. The guest appearences are very promising rappers such as Kanye West, Jadakiss, Three six Maffia, Prodigy,Bun B, Tru life,David Banner, Capone, Kurrupt. Swiss beats provide the beats.

4 ELEMENTS OF HIP HOP

I got to tell you the facts about the hip hop culture, It is something we live, for short eat, dress, talk, walk, learn, earn is hip hop. It is not a trend as some think. It is a way of life, it is a mindstate, hip hop culture is about peace,love and unity, it is not about bitches, bling and bricks.
It is not about cars,clothes and cribs. Let me break down the 4 elements of hip hop for you.

1. Rapping: Rappers such as Sugar Hill Gang, Furious Five made hits in the beginning of the
hip hop culture. They are the pioneers. Also rappers such as Afrika Bambatta

2. DJing : spinnig records so that the rapper can drop his lyrics over the beats.
DJs such as Kool Herc , Grand Master Flash and DJ Red Alert were the first ones
to do this.
3. Breaking : Dancing to the beats of the DJ and the Rapper . The legendary Rock Steady Crew
is world wide known for this element.

4. Graffiti : airosol art, the urban youth would express their creativity on trains and walls.

You see these 4 things are the elements of the hip hop culture. If you are a rap listener and you dont't know what the the true purpose of the hip hop culure is. You are told that rap music is all about guns, drugs and sex. You got the wrong idea. I speak for the underground minority of the B-boys, who are keeping the community authenic with preservation of the culture. I AM KIND OF ADDICTED TO THE RAKIM'S ALBUM CALLED 18th LETTER

I can not find no better album , than this album, lyrical wise is the alltime classic, this is the most dopest album Rakim ever dropped . Rakim has been claimed a living legend. The pure authenic hip hop is here, on this album. Songs such as Saga Begins contains samples of Prodigy.

This album has been droped over 9 years ago. This is a mile stone in hip hop history. 18th Letter is produced well by Clark Kent. He deserves the title superman when it comes to producing, what this album makes special is that the beats are so futuristic with all the classical old school breaks, from Rakim's previous albums.

I can not remember how many mics this album got in the Source. It got to be 5.
Yo!! in 1997 I was pumping this album constantly, in 2007 I am still pumping this one.

GET YOUR MIND RIGHT

I have learned a lot the past ten years, especially about what the vital criteria is to propel in this western society. I have made a lots of mistakes too, I have actually learned from my mistakes.
One of the things I lacked was the right mind set as a person. One of the important things is the right mind set to get the things done you have in mind. So, what does this got to do with hip hop.

Hip hop is about chasing you dreams. Hip hop is about positivity. So now I got the right mind set. I think all the b-boys and fly girls should chase the dreams and get their mind right. If we as a hip hop nation should spread love and help each other to progress, We can make a differance.

In the media rap music is seen as a violent and women unfriendly, which some of the mainstream rap acts are. We got to make a fist and show hip hop is more than that. Hip hop is some thing we live. TEMPLE OF HIP HOP

This is a great site, that offers what really temple of hiphop is. In 1996 Krs-one started to educate members of the hiphop community to preserve the hip hop community. He was not alone on this journey, he got support from several rappers to establish the Temple of hip hop.
The purpose behind this idea is to promote the positivity and to build a peace loving and harmonic community. Temple of hiphop teaches ancient spiritual knowledge.

Personally I think this is a great intiative of this pioneer. The hip hop community is flooded with negative paradigms and Krs-one fight this with street knowledge and lyricism. This give the b-boys and fly girls the proper mindset to propel. This idea of Krs-one reaches beyond race, nation or religion.

OLD SCHOOL MEETS NEW SCHOOL

This 2007 song produced by one of the hip hops greatest producers ever, who is Dj Primier. This song 'Classic' is the a true defenition of a classic rapsong. Two pioneers meeting Two young cats. Rakim rock this Primo beat with soulful vocals. Rakim is my all time favorite, when it comes to lyricism and flow non can compete with this lyrical master mind.

Krs-one define crystal clearly what the true purpose of hip hop is. These days kids need to be reminded what that is. He keeps waking the dead heads. Nas on the hook , it is very catchy.
The youngest rapper on this is Kanye, he drop some phat raps on this one.

You must of heard this rappers Mic Geronimo, one of the best rappers to come out soon with a new album called Alive. The title explain it all. I expect alot from it. I think this will set the tone of all the new albums to come out.

I owe my whole attitude to the kids from the bronx, who started this hip hop culture gave the youth a voice across the whole globe. I owe my way of thinking and my progression in life to these kids. I got first in touch with hip hop through KRS-ONE, Public Enemy, Ice T, NWA these people built further what those kids from the Bronx started with 2 turntables and a microphone.

I think it is essential that new kids keep coming out, who repersent authenic hip hop. Without losing the fundamental value of the hip hop culture, which is peace, love and unity. We must stimulate the artists to promote positivity and let them recognize the impact they have on nowadays youth.

Like the kids from the Bronx in '70 created this hip hop culture to prevent black on black, drugs and crime. Nowadays artists also can do that, even better because hip hop is a major genra nowadays, especially in the USA. So rappers be more social responsible and go back to the roots of the hip hop culture.

It goes for anything! you got to have the will and the skill to get the job done. It is the same for MCing. You can not become the best with only the skills, you got to have the will too. You can not become the best only with the will. About the skills I have to say that it can be developed, if you willing to work on it. It does not come that easy, you got to practice.

There are some kids they are exceptional, because they got talent and know exactly how to use it. They grow up in a envoirment that is perfect to develop that talent. There are people that recognize their talent and talk the will into them, because they got the skill. These kids are lucky if there are people that is willing to help them to develop the skills, when they find out these kids got the will. So B-Boys and Fly girls If you got the will to become a professional MC, DJ, Breaker or Graffiti artist, develop your skill. And make sure you got the will.

The most hiphop fanatics, dream of a career as a Dj or a rapper. There are lots of talented kids out there that can break through and deliver on the mic the best raps. I think since the rap scene got so much effected by crime, sex and drugs lots of talented kids waste their talent getting involved these negative things.

First of all, these kids got to realize that infuence of so called friends that is into crime,drugs and other negative issues will not help you to propel and eventually you will not be able to reach your goals also you can not realize your dreams.

I know all about these so called friends, they will tell you being hiphop is blowing weed, getting sexually involved with at least few women. Drinking Hennassy or what ever.
If you think you got skills on the mic or on the one and two, just stop hanging with these people,
find new people that gives you positive energy. These people will help you to propel.

And part of that dream is coming through because rapper/CEO is putting his effort to end the negative state of hip hop nowadays. He ripped on GZA's album doing a guest appearence. Since then I was actually waiting till his album drops. I am very glad I copped his first album called Heavy Mental. The title explains it all. It contains deep lyrics and dope features. This low profile artist is one the New York's finest. He Takes the listener to a spiritual plateau.

NEW MR.LIF

6 months ago Mr.Lif survived a accident with his tourbus. He says a new Mr.lif is born after the accident. He is more reflective as ever. Mr.Lif is politically charged as a musical activist. He was one the artist to react directly after the 9/11 in musical form.

"I was finishing a bowl of cereal, watching Anchorman with my friends, next thing I know, it was pitch black. It was the loudest noise I had ever heard. Furniture was going everywhere. The bus caught on fire. It happened in the desert at 3 a.m. Luckily, people were driving by and were kind enough to stop and take my friends and I to the hospital. People were airlifted out of the accident. I got out with a sneaker and a sock on and my cell phone. I had a friend who lost a lot of flesh on her hand. I had to use the sock as a tourniquet. It was straight carnage."

UNDERGROUND HIPHOP

What exactly is underground hip hop. Is there any underground rappers that can score a hit on the pop charts? Yes In 1995 Funcky DEL the homosapien scored the hit called Mista Dobbelina.
This is the best sample that I can come up with. There are lots of rap songs in the pop charts, but these rappers I don't consider them underground. Underground hip hop is still that is packed with metaphores and heavy brag and boast raps. Also with a realistic message either it is political, social or economical. To me underground hip hop listners are a minority whom are looking for raw beats and lyrics. I am very aware of these rappers that who are playing a part is only out to make money.

A while ago I saw Mtv Dairy on Nas. It was no different than other Mtv Diary episodes. I was quite impressed by that Nas refused to work with a American beer company on a commercial.
That is a begin, Because soon as rappers realize the impact they have on todays youth, we can prevent that youth is getting involved with alcohol, drugs, prostitution and violence.

Streets are cold, I believe todays youth can live a warm lifestyle, soon as they realize they got enough chances in this society.
